Sears Tower Unveils Glass Balconies

The Sears Tower glass balconies open today to the public for the first time, and it will give a new view of Chicago.

The Sears Tower glass balconies aren’t the typical balconies that high rise buildings tend to have, and instead will present a unique way to enjoy the Sears Tower.

Sears Tower glass balconies are located on the 103rd floor of the tower, and sit 1,353 feet up in the air. A pretty scary endeavor for some people to enjoy the Sears Tower glass balconies, but it could also be a main attraction for one of the most visited locations within the city of Chicago. Now the Sears Tower glass balconies will set the tower apart from many other buildings in the U.S. once again.

Viewing images that have been released of the 103rd floor glass balconies (linked at end of article) are actually pretty awe-inspiring, and show that these are just glass balconies. These balconies are like room extensions connected to the 103rd floor that are entirely made of glass, including the walls and floor. The glass floor is going to be the hardest part for many people to adjust to, as it almost appears like you are walking out on thin air. That will make these Sears Tower glass balconies breath-taking not just for the view, but for the excitement level that it will provide tourists.
